Alaska, is generally cold year round. It has warm summers but its winters tend to be cold. From January to April, it is best to bring long pants, long sleeve shirts, sweaters, and a warm jacket. It is also advisable to dress in layers. From April to August is when the temperatures begin to warm up.

At the end of August, temperatures being to cool down again and they go back into their winter like tendencies. From late August till December bring long pants, long sleeve shirts, a few short sleeve shirts, and a jacket. Dressing in layers is also advisable.
