Emergency Medical Evacuation
While walking on deck enjoying the cool sea air, you trip and fall, sustaining a serious hip injury. The ship's doctor says you need to be hospitalized. The Travel Insurance company can arrange an evacuation to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment and, if medically necessary, arrange for your return to a hospital back home.
Travel Delay & Trip Interruption
The night before leaving for your cruise vacation, a violent winter storm closes your departure airport, delaying your flight for 24 hours and cauing you to miss your cruise departure. With a Travel Insurance program, you still have options for escaping the cold blast, such as coverage for additional transportation costs to catch up to your cruise ship at the next port of call and reimbursement for unused, pre-paid missed days.
Emergency Medical / Dental Expense
While riding a bike through a Paris park, you are distracted by a street performer. You and your bike end up scattered in shrubbery. When you come to, the street performer is replaced by a French hospital room. Travel Insurance can assist you with your medical care management and coordinate the settlement of your emergency medical expenses.
Trip Cancellation
A dear family member suddenly passes on 10 days before you are scheduled to leave on your dream cruise. With a Travel Insurance program, you will be reimbursed for your non-refundable cancellation penalties up to the amount you insured.
Baggage
As your cruise ship docks, you watch with interest as a large crane hauls a cargo net full of luggage from the ship. The net rips and drops 40 suitcases into the water. Two of the suitcases belong to you. A Travel Insurance program will reimburse you for the amount of damage that the cruise line does not cover, up to $1000.
Baggage Delay
During the Holiday rush, an airline mishandles a large volume of luggage. As a result, your bags are nowhere to be found when you arrive at your destination. If your luggage is not recovered within a 24 hour period, a Travel Insurance program will reimburse you up to $100 for the purchase of emergency personal items.
